About Azim Premji: Born on 24 July 1945 in Mumbai, Premji is originally a Gujarati Muslim whose family belongs to Kutch. His father, Mohammed Hashem Premji , was a famous businessman who was also known as the “ Rice King of Burma .” His father also established a company called the western Indian vegetable products limited, which dealt with vegetable products and refined oils.
